SeaWorld Orlando has officially announced that its newest coaster, the Pipeline Surf Coaster, will open at the park in Spring 2023. The company aims to keep visitors updated on the construction progress over the next six months. The ride is located along the waterfront, offering a scenic outlook as guests approach the park entrance. With all tracks installed, construction is progressing well.

SeaWorld Orlando has released an Instagram video revealing the surfboards that will act as cars for the new Pipeline coaster. Guests can see the orange and blue surfboards up close as they are loaded into the maintenance shed.

Manufactured by B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard), Pipeline will be the world’s first surf coaster. SeaWorld Orlando has previously worked with B&M on other popular coasters, including Manta, Kraken, and Mako.

With a track length of 2950 feet, the Pipeline Surf Coaster will hit speeds of 60 mph and reach heights of 110 feet, providing guests with the sensation of riding the waves. The coaster will feature five airtime moments and a wave curl inversion. Riders must be a minimum of 54 inches tall to experience the thrill of the ride. Pipeline will be SeaWorld Orlando’s seventh rollercoaster, opening just a year after Icebreaker.

The ride vehicle for Pipeline is currently being showcased at the park after the ticketing area. Annual Passholders will be among the first to experience “Pipeline” when it opens in Spring 2023. SeaWorld Orlando aims to keep visitors informed by providing further details about Pipeline as and when they are announced.
