Recently, an eye-catching marquee was installed, featuring a whimsical “Minion Land” sign with 22 lovable Minions emerging from a street cover. This playful display sets the stage for the adventure that awaits guests as they step onto Illumination Avenue this summer.
At the heart of Minion Land, visitors will discover the all-new attraction, “Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast,” along with a range of enticing offerings. This interactive blaster game experience is slated to open later this summer and promises a thrilling combination of innovative screen technology, state-of-the-art gaming interactivity, and immersive physical sets. Guests will grab their interactive blasters and step onto a motion-based pathway, where they can put their villain skills to the test.
In addition to the main attraction, Minion Land will also feature the Minion Café, where guests can indulge in delectable treats, and the “Bake My Day” dessert shop, offering an array of mouthwatering delights. To complete the experience, the all-new Illumination Theater will provide a venue for captivating entertainment and shows.
Adding to the excitement, Universal Orlando recently unveiled the “Evil Stuff” retail location, conveniently located at the exit of Minion Blast. This shop is a haven for fans of the “Despicable Me” and “Minions” films, offering a wide selection of merchandise showcasing beloved characters. From t-shirts and plush toys to cups, bags, magnets, and more, guests will find a plethora of items adorned with the Villain-Con logo. The displays feature mischievous Minions playfully dressed as iconic villains from the film series, including Vector, Balthazar Bratt, and Scarlet Overkill.
