Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort has reopened a reimagined Mickey’s Toontown, ushering in a new era of family and children’s entertainment. This lively neighborhood invites families to spend quality time together while engaging in new interactive experiences, relishing in returning favorites, and enjoying the latest attraction – Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
President of Disneyland Resort, Ken Potrock, led a dedication ceremony in the area, joined by Mickey Mouse, Toontown residents, media, and cast members, celebrating this remarkable milestone with playful exuberance.
At the revitalized Mickey’s Toontown, you can play to your heart’s content. The land’s ambiance and activities are carefully curated to allow guests to connect with each other in multiple ways – visually, auditorily, physically, and socially. The Walt Disney Imagineering team has also thoughtfully designed the land, minimizing barriers to play by adding more open green spaces for gathering and play.
Interactive & Green Areas
As you enter the area, CenTOONial Park will be the first spot you encounter. This exciting space is home to two brand new interactive play experiences.
The first is a striking fountain featuring water tables designed for sensory play. The second is a dreaming tree adorned with sculpted tree roots, perfect for little ones to crawl around and explore.
Goofy's How-To-Play Yard
Children can enjoy a playful sound garden where they can experiment with creating new and silly sounds. Additionally, a brand new elevated clubhouse has been added to the yard. Venture inside Goofy’s House, and you’ll find an interactive candy-making contraption that is nothing short of Goofy’s imagination.
Donald's Duck Pond
For children who need to expend some energy and cool off, Donald’s Duck Pond is the perfect spot. In the center of the pond, Donald’s Boat sits surrounded by enormous spinning water lilies, balance beams, and rocking toys. Adventurers can peer into the boat’s portholes, where they’ll catch glimpses of Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby, the beloved ducklings.
Chip 'n' Dale's Gadget Coaster
For a wild ride, look no further than Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGET coaster, a unique, pint-sized rollercoaster designed by Gadget Hackwrench, the ingenious inventor of Mickey’s Toontown.
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway
Opened on January 27th – This ride has no age or height restrictions, meaning that families of all ages and sizes can embark together on a zany adventure through the unpredictable cartoon universe of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
