It’s time for our semi-regular update on the steady progress being made to Universal Orlando’s newest theme park – Epic Universe.
Scheduled to open in summer 2025, Universal Epic Universe is located a few miles south of the current Universal Orlando Resort. In addition to the new theme park, it will feature three new Universal hotels.
Thanks to the recent aerial photos shared on Twitter by @bioreconstruct, we have a comprehensive view of the advances being made at the Epic Universe site.

Central Hub & Entrance
Starting at the center of the park, rumored to be named “Celestial Park“, the covered spinner ride, potentially named “Constellation Carousel“, has seen significant developments. 3 distinct water features are taking shape, and a waterside restaurant with what appears to be fountains along the windows can be seen.
The entrance to the park has seen considerable contruction since the last update, and the ticketing building, archways, and what’s likely to be a VIP section can be clearly seen.

Epic Universe Resorts
Project 910 or Universal Helios Grand Hotel continues to make headway, with continues work of the 10-story, 500 room hotel. The progress can be estimated by the height in comparison to the crane scaffolding. The peninsula behind the hotel is likely a fireworks launch location with probably included projections on the hotel and fountains.
- Tiered features at the park’s fountain are centered with the hotel.
- Portal to Dark Universe.
- Portal to a Harry Potter related land.
The two new hotels south of the new theme park are rapidly progressing. The hotel known as Project 912 (possibly “Universal Terra Luna Resort“) is recieving the reflective dichroic glass tiles described in our June update.

Dark Universe
In what’s being called Universal Monsters’ Dark Universe, the rumored spinning coaster’s queue areas and what’s expected to be a 2nd launch are coming together. The portal into the land is massive, with large tree trunk roots creeping over rocks. The widing path into the village of Darkmoor can be seen while scaffolding along exterior walls indicate theming may soon begin.

The How To Train Your Dragon & the Dueling Coasters make for an interesting triple effect when seen together. In HTTYD – There be dragons! New spinning rides with DRAGONS can be seen being assembled, while the celestial theming for the dueling coaters is taking shape.

In the park’s Wizarding World area, the Parisian buildings with their Haussmann style roofs, and intersecting streets are beginning to recieve color and theming. It appears we will be seening TWO featured attractions in this land one of which is almost certainly the Ministry Of Magic.
