Walt Disney inaugurated his new theme park on July 17, 1955, and on July 17, 2023, Disneyland Resort will commemorate its 68th anniversary.
This Monday at 11:45 a.m., visitors to Disneyland Park will have the opportunity to witness a festive cavalcade led by Mickey Mouse and his friends. The cavalcade will make stops at “it’s a small world,” Main Street U.S.A., and Town Square. Guests will also have the chance to join the Dapper Dans, the Disneyland Band, and Disney Ambassadors in a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday” to honor Disneyland.
Additionally, from July 15-17, Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe will offer a special treat to celebrate Disneyland’s anniversary. Guests can indulge in a delectable Disneyland Anniversary vanilla iced donut, filled with cherry compote, and topped with whipped cream and chocolate sandwich cookie “Mickey ears.”
While Disneyland commemorates its 68th birthday this year, The Walt Disney Company is also observing its 100th anniversary. To mark this momentous occasion, Disneyland park presents the captivating nighttime spectacular “Wondrous Journeys” (running until August 31) and a reimagined Mickey’s Toontown featuring the thrilling Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Over at Disney California Adventure park, guests can enjoy the enchanting “Rogers: The Musical” (running until August 31) and the mesmerizing “World of Color – ONE.”
