Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, is the theme park that transports visitors to the glitz and glamour of the golden age of Hollywood. The park, which opened in 1989, is divided into several sections, each with its own unique theme and attractions. The main street of the park, Hollywood Boulevard, is modeled after the Hollywood of the 1920s and 30s, complete with vintage cars and street performers.
One of the most popular sections of the park is Toy Story Land, which is based on the beloved Toy Story franchise. This area features rides and attractions like Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster and Alien Swirling Saucers. The theming in this area is incredibly detailed, making guests feel as though they have been shrunk down to the size of a toy and are exploring Andy’s backyard.
Then there’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – The area that immerses guests in the Star Wars Universe, allowing them to explore the planet of Batuu and take part in interactive experiences such as the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run ride and the Rise of the Resistance ride has become the primary draw to the park. The theming in this area is amazingly immersive and realistic, making guests feel like they are truly in the Star Wars universe.
Hollywood Studios also offers a variety of dining options, with a focus on Hollywood-inspired cuisine. Some popular dining options include the 50’s Prime Time Café, which serves classic American comfort food, and the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, which offers a unique dining experience in a retro drive-in theater setting. In addition, the park also hosts the annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which features a variety of food and beverage options from around the world, as well as live music and other entertainment.
In addition to the rides and attractions, the park offers a variety of shows and entertainment. The park features several live shows, including the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, which showcases the action and thrills of the Indiana Jones movies, and the Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, which tells the story of the beloved Disney film through song and dance. The park also features a number of parades and fireworks spectaculars, such as Fantasmic! which is a must-see that features Disney characters, special effects and pyrotechnics.
